The Maternal Health Equity Collaborative (MHEC) produced this report identifying the equity gaps in care across Central Texas and providing recommendations to St. David’s Foundation and other funders to improve care and access to care for BIPOC families.
Safer Childbirth Cities- Austin
The Maternal Health Equity Collaborative is proud to announce that Austin is the newest recipient of the Merck for Mothers Safer Childbirth Cities Grant! The project, Closing the Gap for Black Mamas: Childcare For Health Equity is funded by Merck for Mothers & the Pritzker Children’s Initiative.
Maternal Health Equity Report with MEASURE
MEASURE and the Maternal Health Equity Collaborative developed a survey to assess the unique needs of pregnant people during COVID-19, specifically Black women and Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) families. This survey helped to gather lived-experience data from BIPOC mothers’ lived experiences in Central Texas.
